COVID-19 Travel Update

On Friday, July 10th, 2020 Windjammer Landing was approved as a COVID-19 certified resort. For more information on the COVID-19 certificate please visit Ministry of Tourism COVID-19 Certified Resorts.

The Government of St. Lucia also announced its New Travel Protocols for St. Lucia to reopen the tourism sector. At this time, this includes guests not being able to leave the resort for the duration of their stay. Due to these new protocols, the ongoing COVID-19 transmission rate, and the reduction of air travel to St. Lucia for both August and September, we have made the difficult decision to delay the reopening of the resort until Thursday November 19th, 2020.

As part of the global travel industry, we have an important role to play and we are grateful to our guests, staff and partners for their continuous support and understanding.  We hope that you and your family are safe and healthy, and we look forward to welcoming you back when we reopen this Fall.

Windjammer Landing’s Care + Cleanliness Commitment

For over 30 years we have always dedicated ourselves to providing the best and safest experience at Windjammer Landing. As a leader in St. Lucia within the luxury hotel market we already have the strictest quality controls and health and safety measures to guarantee our guests and teams health. Windjammer Landing’s Care + Cleanliness Commitment goes beyond these stringent quality controls throughout the entire resort including public areas, our restaurants, bars, guest rooms, activities, the fitness center, the spa and all behind-the-scenes operations. This multilayered commitment will build on Windjammer’s existing rigorous protocols and follows the advice and instruction provided by the Centers for Diseases Control (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO) and the St. Lucia Minister of Health. This comprehensive approach will include an accreditation process by the Government of St. Lucia, intensive colleague training, and a team of the country’s medical experts and industry professionals that will contribute to the hotel experience to protect every guest and every team member.

Our newly appointed Health and Safety Officers within each department will ensure strict adherence and seamless implementation of the standards and procedures outlined with our Care + Cleanliness Commitment. As always, Windjammer is equipped with a full service medical station which is staffed 24/7 by a registered nurse and on-call doctor. As required by the Government of St. Lucia, this facility has been upgraded to include supplies needed to address COVID-19 protocols.

We are working hard to prepare the resort to welcome guests back to the natural beauty of St. Lucia and the warmth of Windjammer Landing.  For more detailed information on Windjammer Landing’s Care + Cleanliness Commitment please click here.

In the Community

While all travel has been put on pause and we have not been able to serve our guests, the Windjammer Landing team has come together to continue to serve our communities with the National Meals Program (NMP). NMP is part of the Government of St. Lucia’s Social Stabilization Program launched in response to the negative social economic impact of Covid-19 on the citizens of St. Lucia. Together with the other members of the St. Lucia Hotel and Tourism Association, the Ministry of Agriculture, the National Emergency Management Organization and other private sector associations we have all helped to prepare and deliver over 20,000 meals to those less fortunate in our beautiful country.

This is an ongoing Government program that Windjammer Landing is proud to be a part of.
